HFEA (Human Fertilisation
and Embryology Authority):
HFEA is the British regulating authority for fertility clinics. While this is
a British site, it contains useful information for Americans.
Site is easy to understand and navigate.
Single Mothers
by Choice: Support organization with useful information for single women who choose to
have children.
Chosing Single Motherhood:
Mikki Morrissette's book about the experiences of women who have decided to
become single mothers.
American Society for
Reproductive Medicine (ASRM):
Non-profit organization of medical professionals devoted to advancing knowledge about infertility. Publishes voluntary guidelines for laboratory
procedures related to handling of sperm as well as helpful fact
sheets for patients.
American Association of
Tissue Banks (AATB):
Non-profit scientific licensing body for wide range of human tissue, of which
sperm is only a small part. Most useful is their list of accredited
cryobanks at the bottom of this page. Full list including

Clinical
Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA):
FDA regulatory organization to establish quality standards for a wide range of
laboratory tests performed on human tissue, including sperm. Mostly
technical/legal information.
